Enhanced Transition
Dear Parent(s)/Carer(s),
Our Enhanced Transition events are aimed primarily at students on the SEND register who would benefit from a smaller transition event before attending the main transition days. Primary schools will share the invite below with families of students they feel would benefit from this additional support. Our Enhanced Transition events will take place on Friday 26th June and Tuesday 30th June, 9:00-10:15am.
The enhanced transition will take place at The Hinckley School and includes students getting to know the school site, making friends and meeting some of the school’s teachers. The two mornings provide great opportunities for your child to feel comfortable at The Hinckley School and ask any questions that they may have.
The plan for the two days includes:
- Familiarisation with The Bridge
- Tour of the school site/facilities
- Social communication games
- Thoughts and questions activity
- Art and crafts activity

Please note, you will have to arrange transport to and from The Hinckley School unless your primary school is putting transport in place.
