£22.5M State-of-the-Art STEAM Building

Work on a transformational STEM new build officially began at The Hinckley School on 30th March 2026.

This multi-million-pound investment project represents a significant step forward for our school community. The new facilities will enhance our learning environment, support our long‑term vision for educational excellence, and provide modern, inspiring spaces that meet the needs of current and future students.

Our new building will house state‑of‑the‑art classrooms created for our science, technology, engineering, and maths departments. In addition, the building will feature brand new art and design studios, providing students with exceptional facilities in which to reach their full potential. Bringing art together with STEM subjects encourages students to make natural connections between imaginative design and practical problem-solving, enriching their learning and ensuring that we prepare them for the ever‑evolving world of work.

The development involves a two-phase demolition and replacement of four existing teaching buildings, with the new build being located on the north-east of our school site. Split across three storeys, the impressive new build will feature expansive facilities for students.
