Within this section you will find information on how to access our Parents' Evening booking system, information on the schedule of the school day and useful forms and information. If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact our Main Reception.
Reporting an Absence
Year 7-11
We encourage all of our parent(s)/carer(s) to ring as early as possible on each day of an absence, for safeguarding purposes, preferably before 8.15am and leave a message on the absence hotline giving a reason for the absence.
When reporting a child’s absence please call 01455 632183
- press 1 to report an absence
- then press 1 to select student absence
- before selecting 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 dependent upon which year group they are in

We ask that you do not email notification of your child’s absence to the office inbox as this email inbox is for general enquiries and is not monitored for absence reporting. Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact your child’s Pastoral Leader.
Sixth Form
Parents and carers of sixth form students can report their child as absent by emailing: 6attendance@thehinckleyschool.co.uk
(Please note: this email address cannot be used by students in Year 7-11 or their parents/carers)
Sixth Form students can also report their own absence using the same method. However, they must ensure that the email address of their parent or carer is copied into the email so that they are aware.
Please email as early as possible on the day of each absence.
