Students also secured the grades required to build their brighter futures and to follow their dreams of working in fields related to Medicine, Family Law and Aerospace Engineering.

Eva shared how her nerves turned to pride this morning after learning she had been awarded 9 GCSEs at grades 9-6, "I woke up so scared, my heart was racing but now I am over the moon, I'm so relieved that my hard work has all paid off and I've got the results that I deserved." Eva is excited to build on her impressive grades, which included 9s in English Language, English Literature and History, by studying at The Hinckley Sixth Form, as she follows her dream to have a career in family law. In addition to her incredible hard work and determination, Eva credits her supportive teachers for helping her achieve success and is looking forward to benefiting from her strong working relationship with them over the next two years. "Teachers have been amazing, the most supportive people I could have wished for. They helped with anything I needed, not just academically but personally too, especially in the run-up to exams around mental wellbeing and coping with exam pressures. I am so grateful."

Celebrating together today were friends Jem, Anne and Zuzanna, who were all very glad the long wait for results was finally over! Anne and Zuzanna both achieved an amazing eight GCSEs at grades 9 and 8 and are excited for the new challenges sixth form study will bring. Meanwhile Jem, having achieved nine GCSEs at grades 9-7, including four grades 9, is off to focus on her passion for journalism at college. I felt amazing seeing how high they were; I’m really impressed.” Marlow is not only excited to study Maths, Physics and Engineering, but also to continue to be supported by understanding teachers who truly want the best for him, both personally and academically, “I’ve always been encouraged to go outside of my comfort zone, by taking part in charity fundraisers and events. Extra-curricular involvement, such as completing my Bronze CREST Award, has helped me to grow as a person.”
It wasn’t just Marlow who was looking back fondly on five years of unforgettable memories beyond the classroom. Students listed rugby teams, basketball fixtures and charity events as just a few of the unforgettable memories they will take with them, as well as exceptional results. After celebrating her nine GCSEs at grades 9-5, Ellie shared her personal highlights, including a Spanish trip to Malaga and a Geography trip to Iceland, just part of the enriching experience she enjoyed at The Hinckley School which she will remember for a lifetime. Sophie, who celebrated with her parents after opening her results, also shared how much her experience outside of lessons will stay with her due to her involvement in extensive art extra-curricular, which she credits with helping her achieve an impressive grade 9 in the subject.

Mrs Groocock, Headteacher said, “We are so proud of our Year 11 students. It is a privilege to celebrate with our young people as their grades translate into a wealth of opportunities for future study and careers. We are delighted that so many of them have decided to continue their seven-year journey here with us and look forward to welcoming them back to The Hinckley Sixth Form next week. Students know that such achievements are the result of a lot of hard work and determination, especially when the work was especially challenging, so the Class of 2025 should feel very proud. They have matured into the incredible role models we see today. On behalf of everyone here at The Hinckley School I would like to wish them all the best for the future.”
