Fantastic Start to the Barclays Knight‑Stokes Cup!
Victory in our first cricket cup competition!
Our boys’ cricket team made a fantastic start to their Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup campaign with a comfortable victory over Brockington College in our first fixture of the competition.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, the team produced a disciplined and energetic performance in the field. In a brilliant display of teamwork, every player contributed by bowling two overs each, helping restrict Brockington College to 84-2 from their allotted overs. The boys showed great control with the ball and backed it up with sharp fielding throughout the innings.
In reply, the batting unit delivered a masterful performance to chase down the target confidently. Leading the way was Oscar, who produced an outstanding innings of 56, the highest score of the match. His composed and attacking batting set the tone for the chase and helped guide the team to victory in style.
The team are over the moon after such a positive start to the competition and are already looking forward to their next fixture in the coming weeks. We are also excited to see our girls’ teams begin their own campaign next week, as they prepare to play their first matches of the season.
