Year 10 Going for Success Evening

Dear Parents/Carers,

We would like to invite you and your child to attend our Year 10 Going for Success Evening on Tuesday 5th May.

This important event marks a key point in your child’s GCSE journey and is designed to provide clarity, guidance, and support as they move towards Year 11. During this important event, students will receive their mock examination results in the same format in which their official GCSE results will be issued in August. Results will be released when students attend the evening with a parent or carer. This provides an opportunity for families to discuss achievements and next steps together. Please note due to venue capacity, we are only able to allow a maximum of two people to accompany each student. If you need to speak to us about this then please contact us.

Event Timings:

• Population A - Students in Miss Radford, Mr O’Gara, Mr Toor, and Miss Bennett’s tutor groups are invited to attend from 5:00pm – 5:40pm
•  
• Population B - Students in Miss Ody, Miss Gillett, Mr Britchford, and Miss Teladia’s tutor groups are invited to attend from 5:40pm – 6:20pm

During the evening, students will:

• Collect their recent mock examination results
• Receive an overview of the two-year GCSE journey and what to expect in Year 11
• Learn about the interventions and support strategies already in place to help them succeed
• Gain insight into our transition pathways into Sixth Form
• Explore wellbeing strategies to support them through this important stage of their education

We strongly encourage all students and parents/carers to attend, as this evening will provide valuable information and an opportunity to ensure every student is fully prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
